The BBC's Big Read picked the Lord of the Rings as the UK's favorite book in December after receiving votes from 750,000 viewers Days before, when figures were released to demonstrate the impact the show was having on book sales, we were contacted by Idea Generation. We suggested it could be interesting to look at the effect the Big Read had on sales of film adaptations of the top 21 books for Amazon.co.uk. Idea Generation quickly came back with the information we needed and News Team produced an article which was submitted through our news wires to the national newspapers, not a press release.
